Wone Trial Defense Expert Henry Lee Found Liable for Fabrication in 1985 Murder

Dr. Henry Lee, a forensic scientist who testified on behalf of the defense in the conspiracy and obstruction of justice trial for the murder of Robert Wone, has been found liable for fabricating evidence in a 1985 trial that sent two teenagers to jail for 30 years. Dr. Lee is renown for his work on the O. J. Simpson, JonBenet Ramsey and Phil Specter cases. At the Wone trial, Lee provided analysis that the knife found on the scene was the knife used in the murder and that Robert bled internally, which limited the amount of blood found at the scene. His expert opinions were determinative in the judge’s findings in the case.
