Where The Wild Boys Are

For those of us who grew up on Maurice Sendak, this was the first children’s book that wasn’t afraid to scare you as a child.  It didn’t treat children’s minds as premature, but rather as curious and unafraid of the what the world could hold. It’s too sad that Robert found where the wild things were, 1509...

Gates Of Hell

About That ‘Intruder Theory’ In the early hours of August 3, 2006, the defendants were subjected to hours of interrogation at the MPD Violent Crime Branch in Anacostia;  a long way from the million dollar plus townhouse on Swann Street. Price for six hours, Zaborsky for eight and Ward sat through a ten hour marathon.  The Post’s...

What Do You Give The Man Who Has… Dylan Ward, or as he’s known to those in the DC criminal justice system and at Superior Court as CF1-026996, celebrates his 39th birthday today.  There was no way we’d  let this day go by without sharing.  We’re sometimes tardy, but we never forget.  39 years old;  the Jack Benny birthday. ...

Erik Prince Trumps Kathy Wone >> Updated throughout;  Additional Video The good news:  Judge Frederick Weisberg finally got around to setting a trial date in the matter of U.S. v. Price, Ward and Zaborsky.  The not so good news:  it’s a year away on May 10, 2010.  Does anyone’s Outlook calender even go that far into the...

Home Life, Education, Business & Legal Matters A lot of the focus on this case has been on the events leading up to the murder of Robert Wone, the subsequent investigation, and the indictment of Joseph Price, Victor Zaborsky, and Dylan Ward on conspiracy charges, tampering with evidence, and obstruction of justice.  The details mostly...

You Did It…

Greek Love If murder charges were pending against the Swann Street defendants, maybe the legal wranglings would seem more clear cut to the lay person.  Those trained in the law have the insight, but to the rest of us it’s all clear as mud. Judge Frederick Weisberg further confused us at the April 24th status hearing when...

Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

E=mc2 & Time Dilation A major point of debate for both the Defense and the Prosecution is the time line of events leading up to and through the murder of Robert Wone and the subsequent 9-1-1 call from 1509 Swann Street.  The details available are those mainly described in the Affidavit in Support of the...

Who Knew What… To follow up on recent comments to the nature of Joe and Dylan’s relationship, and as important, who knew what about the exact nature of it, we look again at language from the original affidavit and from an earlier post here. “The Relationship” portion of the affidavit starts on page 10. “Several witnesses familiar with Price, Zaborsky...

Purpose of this Site

On August 2nd, 2006, Washington attorney Robert E. Wone was murdered at 1509 Swann Street. Over two years passed before any criminal charges were filed - and then only conspiracy, obstruction of justice and crime scene tampering charges were brought against the Swann Street housemates, all present in the home on the night of the murder: Joe Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky.

On May 17, 2010, a DC Superior Court trial got underway and all three defendants were all acquitted in that bench trial on those pending charges.

Nearly four years later, very little seems clear about what happened that night and who murdered Robert Wone. A cloud of suspicion remains over the Swann Street defendants who have denied any involvement in the murder of their friend or in the alleged cover up.

Judge Lynn Leibovitz found a moral certainty in their collective guilt, but not evidentiary certainty. Civil proceedings in a wrongful death suit filed by Robert's family is the next chapter in this tragic story.

We continue to work together seeking answers to the mystery of Robert Wone's murder and in finding justice for his memory and legacy.
