The Price of Family

This Memorial Day brings together millions of families.  Some will gather to celebrate the three-day weekend, others will gather to honor those who have served.  In our particular case, throughout this entire ordeal, the one constant that has remained is the role of family — both good and bad. Family has defined this case from...

Beyond Marriage

Does Price’s Fair-Weather Activism Demonstrate Hypocrisy, More? In 2004, USA Today showered Joe Price and Victor Zaborsky and the lesbian couple to whom each of them donated sperm to conceive children with a splashy write-up about gay families during the run- up to the Bush Adminstration’s use of the gay marriage as a wedge issue during the Presidential election Joe Price’s...

New Evidence of an Interest in Asian Men? Disclaimer: This post is MSFW – Mostly Safe For Work. When the prosecution admitted they were dropping much of the sexual assault evidence at trial their stated reason was an “evolving” opinion.  Just as the prosecution’s opinions are evolving, so too are our ideas about the Swann Street housemate’s sexual...

Separation Anxiety

The Trouple Now A Couple…And Maybe Not Even That Periodically we like to take the temperature of the defendants to learn how they’re holding up.  Sure, we see them at the Moultrie Courthouse, but they’re not exactly talkative.  So how are they spending the rest of their days?  Where are they living?  And how are...

Has The Swann Street Three-Way Always Been A Two-Way Street?

Joe and Victor Jumped to Dylan’s Defense; Why Didn’t Dylan Reciprocate? Throughout the investigation into the murder of Robert Wone, the Metropolitan Police Department maintained that the Swann Street defendants told a consistent story about what happened on the evening of August 2, 2006.  Diane Durham’s statement was the first to question the authenticity...

Friday’s Hearing – And Behavior – Raises A New Theory The more time passes from Friday’s status hearing, the more serious questions arise.  We love hearings like that, and will have much to say over the next few weeks. As always, there were small details of the day that could easily be over-looked.  Mere dots on...

Purpose of this Site

On August 2nd, 2006, Washington attorney Robert E. Wone was murdered at 1509 Swann Street. Over two years passed before any criminal charges were filed - and then only conspiracy, obstruction of justice and crime scene tampering charges were brought against the Swann Street housemates, all present in the home on the night of the murder: Joe Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky.

On May 17, 2010, a DC Superior Court trial got underway and all three defendants were all acquitted in that bench trial on those pending charges.

Nearly four years later, very little seems clear about what happened that night and who murdered Robert Wone. A cloud of suspicion remains over the Swann Street defendants who have denied any involvement in the murder of their friend or in the alleged cover up.

Judge Lynn Leibovitz found a moral certainty in their collective guilt, but not evidentiary certainty. Civil proceedings in a wrongful death suit filed by Robert's family is the next chapter in this tragic story.

We continue to work together seeking answers to the mystery of Robert Wone's murder and in finding justice for his memory and legacy.
