So, how’ve you been?
Feb. 24 Update: Our thoughts on the upcoming Peacock documentary to come shortly.
This site more or less went dormant at the conclusion of the civil case proceeding in August, 2011, and then later offline for reasons we’ll get into below. Among the four of us who managed the site, a lot has happened since then, some of it good and some we’re afraid very bad. In 2018 our dear friend and colleague Michael Kremin passed away. In February, 2022 we lost Doug Johnson, who was also Craig’s husband.
The maintenance of the site was in their capable hands for many years and Craig was left in charge after their passings – big mistake, real big mistake – but it’s now finally back online. Some of the links to graphics, documents, video & audio recordings may be gone, yet some key features like the WMRW Shaky Cam miraculously still remain.
What’s New:
With any luck we will be posting the trial transcripts for the first time – after we figure a few things out, so please bear with us while we try to relearn how to internet. More to come and please use this email address for questions or in the comments below.
This is a test comment
Wakka Wakka!
Glad you guys have put this back up. Hope the new Peacock thing helps.
Good work
Its great to see you back, but I’m very sorry for your losses. I remember the days of checking in here constantly.
Thanks, Mt. Welcome back.
What if his wife knew he was sleeping with men and hired these men to kill him? Has anyone looked into her as a conspirator of his murder? Why would she settle for an undisclosed amount if she really wanted to know who killed her husband? If she wasn’t an elegal or the accused don’t have a hold over her life then why would she settle out of court? Something seems very wrong here and she holds the key. If these men have that much power than someone needs to take care of them!Extremely unlikely, Andrew. You may be the first to ever cast such ugly aspersions here on Robert’s widow, Kathy. Also, it’s not that rare for settlement terms to remain confidential.
Curious, did anyone ever look into what cases he was working on at Radio Free Asia? This organization definitely had some controversy so to its messaging in communist countries. I watched the doc and agree that the response from the three men was odd. However, when you look at the timeline, it just seems so fast. Robert would have been tired, he worked late, maybe he socialized for a minute and then went to bed. If you consider he arrived at 10:30 and died some time before 11:30 it seems strange that an intense situation leading to murder could happen so quickly. If, however, he was being followed from work. Someone waited till the lights went out, found the back door unlocked, came up the stairs and murdered him and didn’t take anything. That would make sense if it were a political hit or work related. I wonder if the blinds to his room were open? Could someone outside the house see what room he was in? Just a thought. Maybe someone should look at which cases he was working on around his death.
Over the years numerous theories have been bandied about regarding Robert being targeted given his position at RFE and all have been discounted. This case is many things but a spy thriller it is not.
