What have the defendants done to find the intruder?

02/03/2009
By David

In Doug’s excellent post that immediately precedes this one, he asks the question — what are the defendants doing to fill their time.  My guess is they spend a fair amount of their time working with their attorneys. But that is only a guess. One thing we can surmise though, unless there is new information, is...

Who's Doing What?

02/02/2009
By Doug

Defendants Fill Time An occasional question among us is: “What are Price, Zaborsky, and Ward doing right now?” Of course, we would often ask this in the dark of the night, during the period the three defendants were still wearing those court-ordered electronic ankle bracelets that kept them under constant track, and when they...

Doug notes:The following is written by a friend, ‘Dave’ a counselor and therapist living in the San Francisco area. He was not at all familiar with the Robert Wone case until he began reviewing this blog. He sends along these thoughts and offers an alternate hypothesis which I or my co-authors had...

Defendants Seek Stay in Civil Suit, Person Misrepresenting Himself as Ward's Lawyer

01/30/2009
By David

Mike Scarcella, who is doing excellent work covering the legal maneuverings in the Robert Wone case, breaks in the Blog of the Legal Times that the defendants want a stay in the civil suit filed by Robert Wone’s widow, Kathy Wone, until after the criminal case is completed. And in another interesting twist in the...

Purpose of this Site

On August 2nd, 2006, Washington attorney Robert E. Wone was murdered at 1509 Swann Street. Over two years passed before any criminal charges were filed - and then only conspiracy, obstruction of justice and crime scene tampering charges were brought against the Swann Street housemates, all present in the home on the night of the murder: Joe Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky.

On May 17, 2010, a DC Superior Court trial got underway and all three defendants were all acquitted in that bench trial on those pending charges.

Nearly four years later, very little seems clear about what happened that night and who murdered Robert Wone. A cloud of suspicion remains over the Swann Street defendants who have denied any involvement in the murder of their friend or in the alleged cover up.

Judge Lynn Leibovitz found a moral certainty in their collective guilt, but not evidentiary certainty. Civil proceedings in a wrongful death suit filed by Robert's family is the next chapter in this tragic story.

We continue to work together seeking answers to the mystery of Robert Wone's murder and in finding justice for his memory and legacy.
