All Hands On Deck

Friday’s status hearing is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm in room 318 of the Moultrie Courthouse.

H. Carl Moultrie Courthouse, 500 Indiana Avenue, N.W.

Moultrie Courthouse, 500 Indiana Ave., N.W.

The seats go fast and we’ll account for three of them so try and get there early if you wish to attend.

The April 24  hearing started a few minutes early so take that into account as well.

At last month’s hearing we were fortunate to have an extra set of arms, legs, eyes and ears.  Regular contributor Fascinating was able attend and offered a few observations of his own.

We encourage anyone who’s able and interested in tomorrow’s hearing to join us.  Expect a line to get into the building and a security checkpoint with mags.  Cameras or tape recorders are NOT allowed inside and must be checked.

Take notes on the proceedings and if possible capture still photos or video outside the courthouse.  Email us the pics and upload the footage to youtube.  Send us the links and we’ll try to include them in tomorrow’s coveage.

wonder if the gang will make another appearance? also wonder if attorney grim educated himself on joe’s sex interests – he claimed last time to not be familiar with the personal ad disclosure.

things to watch for and highlight: the interaction between ward and victor. and ask the gang to comment on the blog — they have been known to read it, right dyl? ;) i will tune in tomorrow at 3:30 for details. keep up the great work -

Airport Checklist (In hopes of a Bumpy Flight!):

OK, bringing the jeep with the top down to a garage. No trunk. I’ll have to bring all the “urban stuff” with me. So, regarding court …

What happens with laptops in a case at security? In the courtroom? What about the blackberry (i know, i know)?

Any other red flags? What else can I not bring/do?

I suppose everyone wearing nametags saying “She Did It!” with our names printed underneath are a no-go …

I’m guessing laptops shouldn’t be a problem. Just about every lawyer passing through those doors must have one. Blackberrys are AOK.

Eds, the BLT indicated that “Ashley’s Reagent” will be a topic of discussion. I’m eager to hear how this agent was supposedly mishandled.

I’m wondering if this is just another focused shot in the dark by the defense to make the evidence seem unreliable.

Purpose of this Site

On August 2nd, 2006, Washington attorney Robert E. Wone was murdered at 1509 Swann Street. Over two years passed before any criminal charges were filed - and then only conspiracy, obstruction of justice and crime scene tampering charges were brought against the Swann Street housemates, all present in the home on the night of the murder: Joe Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky.

On May 17, 2010, a DC Superior Court trial got underway and all three defendants were all acquitted in that bench trial on those pending charges.

Nearly four years later, very little seems clear about what happened that night and who murdered Robert Wone. A cloud of suspicion remains over the Swann Street defendants who have denied any involvement in the murder of their friend or in the alleged cover up.

Judge Lynn Leibovitz found a moral certainty in their collective guilt, but not evidentiary certainty. Civil proceedings in a wrongful death suit filed by Robert's family is the next chapter in this tragic story.

We continue to work together seeking answers to the mystery of Robert Wone's murder and in finding justice for his memory and legacy.
