Who Murdered Robert Wone?

Truth Hits the Law

A video, assembled from elements we have taken ourselves and other media. I shall offer no other comment than to say that this, encapsulated, is what we are asking here. With all the digging about into this person’s sexual past or that person’s publishing history, one might ask: “Dudes, what’s your deal?”

The deal is that a man died not by his own hand. Beyond his control. Worse, the murderer(s?) have not yet stood publicly accountable.

We simply want to know what happened.

The video looks slick, must have taken you a while to put together, and you have good intentions, but something about adding in the rock music seems improper and sensationalist. A wonderful person was murdered in the home of his so-called college friend. It is a tragedy, not entertainment.

The video tells a compelling story. Sight + sound… I see nothing wrong with that. Please be as concerned that the true killer hasn’t been found rather than criticize honest and genuine efforts to publicize and bring awareness to this horrendous crime.

The only thing mysterious in this case is why nobody outside of the datalounge gay gossip board is willing to state that it’s obvious the only possible suspects in this case are the 3 housemates. There’s piles of evidence that one of them, perhaps the one that whose room had a kitchen knife set with one knife missing, a picture of somebody in a death pose, and friends and children’s books published in Taiwan and might have had an Asian fetish might have done it. It’s also a case of 3 white guys who may have killed an Asian guy, and 3 gay guys who may have participated in the killing of a straight guy, but gets no press outside of DC, gay or asian press. Explain that one.

It’s because tabloid shows like Nancy Grace are obsessed only with cute little white girls’ deaths. How much news about Caydee-whatever do we need? Let’s write to CNN to complain.

Oh, also… the press can’t make such statements without fear of libel and defamation suits.

Purpose of this Site

On August 2nd, 2006, Washington attorney Robert E. Wone was murdered at 1509 Swann Street. Over two years passed before any criminal charges were filed - and then only conspiracy, obstruction of justice and crime scene tampering charges were brought against the Swann Street housemates, all present in the home on the night of the murder: Joe Price, Dylan Ward and Victor Zaborsky.

On May 17, 2010, a DC Superior Court trial got underway and all three defendants were all acquitted in that bench trial on those pending charges.

Nearly four years later, very little seems clear about what happened that night and who murdered Robert Wone. A cloud of suspicion remains over the Swann Street defendants who have denied any involvement in the murder of their friend or in the alleged cover up.

Judge Lynn Leibovitz found a moral certainty in their collective guilt, but not evidentiary certainty. Civil proceedings in a wrongful death suit filed by Robert's family is the next chapter in this tragic story.

We continue to work together seeking answers to the mystery of Robert Wone's murder and in finding justice for his memory and legacy.
